For more than 20 years, I have taught guitar, bass, mandolin, dobro, and lap steel, to students of all ages (including Jake, at left). My philosophy is that playing music should bring joy. It might be a lot of work, but the goal is to let the music take the player and the listeners into places deep within the heart and soul. Stop thinking too hard. Start playing.

I have a B.A. with a music minor from the Indiana University School of Music and a Master's in Education from Indiana University, with a specialty in instructional systems technology.

Currently I am teaching guitar and music theory at World Music Nashville and The Art Institute of Tennessee.
